I'm kind of excited right now because Ryan and I decided on and ordered a picture for our bedroom. We have this frame that is in need of a picture but couldn't think of anything that we wanted, then I found this folder of pictures that Ryan took of K and K's glass fire pit thingy, we chose one, Ryan worked his editing magic and now I will get to look at this every night when I go to bed.

I like it because I think it will be as close as we will get to having a fireplace in our room.

This is my short but long story i wrote for my friend dylan in physics cuz i saw him doing his physics in showtime and i wrote this in 4th period so its not as long as i wanted so here it is!!!

Physics! a word that seems so simple but as hopeful and pressured teenagers, teenagers like Dylan Tweed discover they have a dreaded thing called HOMEWORK thier strong and joyous hearts slowly wither down to a thing called an abyss. the patience of these fatal studentsmust be strong! as the class comes to a close the teacher grabs the marker and heads towards the board a sad sight for all the students the sign of homework. as the dark red marker stains the board like blood the sad students loose hope she writes p. 121 #s 1-40!! The freedom gets torn away! As the high-pitched ringing echoes throughout the room the students in unicen jump and fly out of the room like a hoard of vampire bats chasing after a bucket of a negative blood. As they breath the fresh californian air they are given a small sense of warmth. The students hoard together like the african wild ata watering hole and create a butal dialogue toward the homework and class in general. In the end they realized that nothing was going to happen so they stopped. As the school ends and the students head towards there cars they are givena pride and sudden happiness of they get ready to go to the happiest and most familiar place a plce called home. they throw themselves into their metal deathtraps and moving. purring it rumbles and starts moving forward it starts moving faster and faster suddenly the car is soaring. the driver-dylan-sticks his head out to feel the wind brush his face like its a convass. he gets an overwhelming sensation of joy. He wishes he could just be on the road for all eternity. Bang! just then it his happiness is pulled away so fast he almost passes out. His face turned pale white whiter than the satrs in the sky or harry potter. He realized that the sooner he got home the sooner he had to do his physics homework. He gets home and paces back and forth back and forth waiting for the moment till he had to start his homework. he paces all day and even to the night. Next thing he realized he was awakened by his alarm. Ohh noooo my homework he wates nervously for 2 peroids and realizes he can get his homework from corey. Hey.....corey....uhhh...i left my homework at home could i copy your......sure here. HAHAHAHA! success he turns in his homework and gets a c-. oh well triumph the wate is lifted!!!!!! well sorry about the spelling and thats all.

well down here i have been bored in old california! the weather has been off and on cold hot cold hot. lately we have been freezing and it has rained more than it did in total of last year and to add to that it is freezing inside the house because we have no roof and walls ill see if i could possibly post some pics. the only excitment i have to look forward to is the same as tons (uncle keith). and then after that its boring till tonya and adam come unless they dont bring duke then it will be boring(hint: BRING DUKE!!!!!) my life has been friendless cuz my bfflmnfpo(after the bff i was just making up whatever) has blown me off a lot so yep! tyler you crazy and should just stop blogging cuz the things you say make me think really hard. Im reeeaalllllyyyyyyy excited for ryan and rachel but mostly just for me because im going to be a uncle! if you have decided for a name yet tell me if not name it justin or a variation of it for you favorite sibling(justin). I would just like to say that if i die for some strange reason i love all of you and give one fourth of my money to tanner another one fourth to r and rs baby another one fourth to roxy and the last one fourth to duke bye the family down here is going to lourdes haha loosers bye!!!!

Tyler is great everybody! The estrogen factor in my life is high in healthy levels, so none of you have anything to worry about. I am healthy and strong, and have been to the gym exactly 2 times in the last month! A record and triumph for myself! I found out that I have internet connection in one of my classes, which I abuse moderately, but my keys make loud noises, so i type slowly... winter is coming on, and i will soon be a lazy slob because i will not be able to longboard around town, and mom is being OH SO SELFISH and not allowing me to spend money on a SUPER INEXPENSIVE snowskate. besides that portion of my life being bleak and meaningless, i'm getting my work done and getting good grades, though it's not hard when you're only taking 12 credits... my roommate ryan and i, along with some friends, are creating a team called Team CB in which we go to dance parties and look for people making out and dance up on them. the person to do it the most at the end of the night wins. people will soon know and fear us!

Well, mel and I just read the activity on the blog which has been silent for months now. The video of Ryan was hilarious, i'm proud to say I saw that in person, though it looks more violent on the video because I know its coming when I watch it. Oh man, you got shook up!

Mel and I are about half way through our first of three homeless weeks as a new married couple. We can't move in to our condo until the 10th of June which means that for three weeks we are moving from house to house living out of suit cases and eating other peoples food. (I like that last one). We are just trying to figure out what items of furniture we have and need to get still. Getting married is a process that doesnt seem to end we're finding out. We thought the planning and stress would soften after the actual wedding day.

Mel starts work on the 2nd of June and I start school on the 23rd. We are excited to get back to a semi-normal lifestyle with schedules and a place to call home.

Remember when I forgot about the family blog? Well after much deliberation, I got my username figured out and here I am! The prodigal daughter. All i have to say about the previous posts is 1. R&R your house is really cute! and 2. Justin is a goober..and should be a writer of dramas.

Well life here in Rexburg is shaping up as summer has finally arrived (at least temporarily). It's been nice and hot the last couple days. Adam is playing on a semi-pro football team and we had our last away game this last weekend in SLC, where we were privileged enough to stay with Noni and Papa, accompany them to the Sizzler where noni spent the last 30 minutes finishing her (and papa's) rootbeer through a tiny straw, find out that they not only own a wii but play it together quite often, and listen to noni apologize for the same things and ask the same questions over and over all weekend. "Oh Guy!" But Adam won his game and they are now 5 and 1, hopefully bound for the playoffs.

Last night for family night we went to Mesa Falls and it was beautiful!! We drove through the back hill hick farm country of Ashton Idaho and all the sudden BOOM we were in a forest, driving up a mountain towards the falls. We were absolutely the only people on the mountain and the only ones at the waterfalls which was kind of fun. There was still snow on the roads and in the trees, but it was really warm and we rolled our windows down and breathed in the fresh mountain air as we coasted down toward home. We then pulled in to Sonic and had dinner old fashioned style-brought out to the car window by a waitress wearing tight black stretchy pants (not part of the uniform). We came home, relaxed, and talked to each other on facebook instant messenger while sitting next to each other...until feeling like sufficient computer geeks, we turned off the computers and went to bed.

Besides facebook instant messenger our lives consist of school for adam, yard work and lots of joy reading for tonya (still no job to speak of and funds running very low...rexburg sucks).

I felt bad that Justin is the only one who really posts, so here I am.

Hmm, not much new happening with Ryan and I. Ryan is in finals, so he is studying his non-existant tushy off. Topic, when someone without a butt, works their butt off, is there an encave left in its place? Discuss!

While Ryan studies at home, I am a slave to the man and unfortunately have to go to work everyday. I do enjoy it most of the time and especially enjoy the benefits of full time employment, ie. paycheck, insurance, etc.

One new blessing in our lives (thank you Justin and Tyler) is our new/old Nintendo 64. We are having a blast playing MarioKart together! The games between us can get quite heated, but usually end with a good old fashioned pillow fight, so all is well. We've discovered that MarioKart is a good way to release our tensions from work and studying. Its awesome, I can't remember life without it.

i didnt post about brandon and melannies wedding no affence it was wonderful no dance mat no garder no bouque. ok so no one has posted anythingon the blog ever since march........that is just sad. No one has even commented on the weddings so i guess i will just have to. So on april 12th adam and tonya had a beautiful wedding on the sports court kristen caught the flowers.......amazingly of course she jumped like michael jordan to get them personnaly i thought karri would get them because she was the tallest. Also of course i cought the garder and wore it proudly on my head and for those who didnt see ill have to describe it for you thoroughly. adam nervous and sweating caustiously shot the garder peircing the wind as it stormed through the air. Just then the air picked it up and through it back near adam. instinctively i lunged ever part of my body and soul to it. Whats this another strange man is going for it ohhhhh nooooo. I i screamed to myself in my outstanding mind i must get that garder or my whole lifes purpose is ruined. He had a advantage because he was much larger than i was probably taller than goliath but that did not stop me oh no nothing could stop me. My body was hurling toward the garder like a arrow blazing towards its target. He was on the same missin it was me then him then me again. I though to myself i must through my hand down as fast as i have ever thrown it before. my hand almost on fire at its speed. Hit it the garder and wait..................YES ITS MINE!!!! he didnt have a chance. Im sure that he was on the verge of crying because of a little thirteen year old boy not even finished with puberty beat his sorry little but. It was the largest moment of triumph in the last century im sure. I could never let this down. This moment was true beauty. Justin prevails. HAHAHAHA!!!!! i laughed from the pit of my stomach like the mad scientist who had finally created Frankenstien. thats all bye

hi. so this is my final semester of high school and i'm already feeling the merciless scourge of senioritis. my grades are still good and all, but i feel more lazy and less inclined to do work. along with that i'm also completely worn out by 1 week of being back in seminary. i need energy, motivation, and a warm blanket. any suggestions? also, I'm oh so lonely. but in other news i finally set up an appointment at the DMV to take my permit test so i can learn to drive and on my birthday i plan to get my license. as for the rest of town i would like to give fare warning to all that drive in escondido by handing out cookies that say "BEWARE"... that is all.

So i'd forgotten how to post a blog, that's why it's been so long since i have. My bad. Back to school for 3 more looong weeks and then finally home for the holidays (and new mexico for a few days to meet adams family). Thanksgiving was a lot of fun, being with lots of family, relaxing, doing some fun stuff, and of course being with adam. I shouldn't have too too much to do to finish off the semester, one of my classes will kick my toosh but the rest'll be a cinch i think. I'm really excited for christmas, people are putting up lights around here and it's freezing which isn't so great usually but sure puts me in the christmas mood! For some reason the whole uploading pictures thing wouldn't work, so for pictures check out my facebook-there's a couple of sarah and randall's new baby too! Love to all!

Our Thanksgiving

So as you may have heard already, Rachel and I had a great Thanksgiving. We enjoyed four days and three nights at "Paws and Reflect" cabin in Shenandoah. We had nice scenery, a hot tub, and lots of time to rest and relax. We fully intended to hike everyday and sleep a lot, but we ended up replacing the hiking with eating! A sure formula for a great vacation! Thursday, Rachel made us a beautiful Thanksgiving feast for two with: home-made mac-n-cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, and topped it off with a roasted mystery bird (we're still not sure if it was chicken or turkey). After the meal, we went in to the cute little town to see August Rush, which was a great, heart warming movie. We finished off with some pie and ice cream, some board games and hot tub. We sure missed family, but we had a lot of fun just the three of us...

No Lobbyists For Me!

Before everyone starts speaking about me in hushed concerned voices, I'd like to state that I definitely do not support Hillary Clinton. Turns out her campaign is primarily funded by lobbyists and special interest groups and that is NOT okay with me! I want a president who is supported by and beholden to the people, not extremists on either side.

So, even though he didn't appear on my list, I'm a Barack girl all the way. He refuses to take money from special interest groups, even when it means that his campaign isn't as profitable as Hillary's. And, he's an idealist, and so am I, so I love him.

If you can't tell by now, Ryan and I are wanting to feel more connected to everyone since we're far away on the East Coast, so we'd definitely love to hear from you guys more, as Ryan has so clearly stated. Ha ha. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

So i had a request to start posting some of my art homework. So this is one of the first assignments i did. We were just supposed to draw something organic in ink. So, naturally i chose a lizard. All in all it took me about 14 hours to complete and the finished size is about 2'x2-1/2'.

Shenandoah

Rachel and I had a great Saturday. We went to Shenandoah National Park, which is a long, skinny strip about 150 miles long or so, about an hour and a half away. We had heard that Virginia was at its peak of fall colors (from mom), so we went to drive around a bit and have a little hike. Not only was the drive up there gorgeous, but the hike was great too. It was a little overcast and a bit chilly, which made it even better. The town just at the base of the mountain was great too, just one small street with a bunch of little mom and pop shops. We found a little family run diner that served home made black berry cobler and hot chocolate...and almost ate there. Overall, it was beautiful, and I'm pretty sure we'll be hiking and camping there much more as they have some backwoods camping that you have to backpack too, waterfalls, rivers and all; we just scratched the surface this weekend. It was a romantic, being gratefull for where we live kind of day. We might even spend Thanksgiving there. Anyway, it was great, you'll all have to come visit next fall and we'll take you down there. Here's a few pictures I took there. Unfortunately about 15 minutes into it the batery died! They just don't do it justice still...

Exams Part Deux

I havn't gotten the grades back yet, that's tomorrow, but the important fact is that its over. I took a couple days off, had cinammon rolls for breakfast, grilled a t-bone steak to perfection along with some asparagus, then washed it down with some gourmet root beer. My next exams aren't till finals before Christmas, so I'm free to enjoy the next few weeks. I also had an interesting day in anatomy lab. we started dissecting the neck so we had to undrape the face. the eye lids shrunk back and the skin around the mouth shrunk leaving the eyes open all coudy and the mouth open with the teeth showing. I think I might see that in my dreams for a long time, it looked like a zombie. The eyes feel kinda like weak ping pong balls...

Bored on a Saturday Night

Not much to report for Ryan and I. We've had a boring couple of weeks as Ryan has been preparing for his second set of exams. He studies all the time, and I try to keep myself busy with work and friends. I still miss him during these times though.

My job is going well, I work in a department primarily focused on investments, acquisitions and finance. Right now I am learning a lot about the finance aspects which is pretty interesting (and never something I thought I would be doing) but I'm hoping to get more involved in the acquisitions and investments in the future. All in all I really like my job (despite the occasional annoying co worker) and I'm happier here than I've ever been with a company before. We are still in love with DC and are enjoying Fall right now. The Fall here lasts a lot longer than it did in Colorado or Utah. The leaves have been changing for about a month now, and still probably have another month to go before they are all gone. Winter doesn't really start here until December from what we hear.

Ryan is at the libary tonight, so I am maybe gonna go to a movie with a friend. Just for fun I am attaching a few pics of our place.

So I just talked to the administration guy again and he told me that my semester override went through on monday and he hadn't called me yet. So I get to stay in the Winter! Thats good news, and thats all.

I got really depressed yesterday when I left studying at the library to see people all over in their costumes going to weekend haloween parties. Our first exam is on Haloween, so I don't get to participate, it's tortuous! Anyway, Brandon, you could use my costume idea if you want, I was going to go as a slutty male nurse...

Ok so i figure at some point i should post something on our family blog. I read tonya's and it pretty much summed things up, but i guess there are a few particulars that i could talk about. I am having a pretty stressful semester due to a lot of unknowns with my next year or so of school. I'm planning on transferring schools to the UofU and to do so i have a few pre-requisites to finish up as well as my AA in general studies so that i wont have to deal with generals wherever i end up. So for the last month and a half I've been running all over campus trying to find the one person that could "ok" my being here during the winter semester (because I'm on a summer/fall semester track). Anyway, it turns out that i finally found that man (he is the chair of a review board that deals especially with appeals such as mine) and with his signature and two others that i am hoping will think that i have a case as well, I should be able to stay in the winter and get all the classes that i need for a possible transfer. So thats what's been on my plate this semester, its a little stressful but at least everything else is going really well with no complains. Its still nice and warm outside here, the grass is green and there are still a few leaves on the trees. I'm just trying to figure out what Melanie and I should be for Halloween. Any suggestions?

Daily Recipes

Recently I'd been feeling a need to add some variety to my recipe book. So I went to the Better Homes and Gardens website, www.bhg.com, and signed up to receive daily recipes in my e-mail. Its been really fun so far, and I've gotten lots of really great recipes from them! Just thought I would share that with you all, so if any of you are feeling a need for new recipes, this is an easy way to do it.

Hey hey family I gotta admit I'm still not sure how this whole thing works, and how all our blogs connect to each other and all that...BUT I'm continuing on in faith that it'll all work out in the end. Sigh. A quick note on life as me: Oh that we all could live in Rexburg, Idaho! I know, I know it's so much more glamorous than Virginia/D.C. and San Diego but don't be too jealous, it's a sin. It's chilling down, it's snowed a couple times but hasn't stuck so all is well. For those of you who might not know (such as grandparents should they read this) I am Relief Society President in my student ward here, so along with that, classes, and hours spent on the phone each day with Adam, I'm a pretty busy lady! All the above is going well however, and I get to go home in 10 days for Dave and Jackie's wedding, to see the fam-diggity, and of course Adam so I'm counting down to that right now. Life is as usual, can't say there's too too much excitement. My classes are mostly all pretty great. I officially love my major and am tickled pink that I've finally found something I really enjoy and can actually say I like going to class every day and doing my work for them--for the most part, they're not all a joy, don't get me wrong. I have discovered a new passion for reading (mostly children's literature at the moment of course) and usually put off all else so I can do so. My roommates and I get along alright. Although they're not my usual crowd, we do get along and sometimes have fun within the apartment. My friends have all ditched me on account of boyfriends/girlfriends/they all live on the other side of campus...SOO my cell phone is literally my life-line to all humanity and sanction outside this blessed state. That's my life in a nutshell, I miss you all, and I hope we can all keep track of this thing and keep it updated!
